Blake Lively has a unique way of announcing that she and her partner Ryan Reynolds are expecting. Already parents to three children, the Gossip Girl actress surprised fans last year when she revealed her fourth pregnancy bump at the 10th Annual Forbes Power Women's Summit. While walking the red carpet, Blake showed off her bump in an unforgettable Valentino gold sequin mini dress.
In true Blake style, she shared the news of her third pregnancy in a similar way in 2019. She revealed her bump on the red carpet for the premier of Pokemon Detective Pikachu.
Now, almost four months on from the fourth pregnancy reveal, Blake has taken to social media to share some before and after pregnancy pics, joking that her workout routine isn't working and garnering almost 4 million likes on the IG post.
Showing two snaps side-by-side, the first one sees Blake posing pre-pregnancy next to her personal trainer, Don Saladino. In the second, Blake shows off her bump in a similar outfit – a black sports bra with black bottoms and trainers.
The 35-year-old, soon to be mum-of-four added some humour into her caption: "been doing @donsaladino’s workout program for months now. Something isn’t working."
Fans couldn’t get over the caption, and saw it as an opportunity to banter along with her in the comment section. One user said: “It's because you're on the Ryan Reynolds diet. Belly fulla babies. It does a body good 😂😂😂.”
Someone else joked: “You probably accidentally ate some watermelon seeds,” while another user commented, “Hmmm, maybe because your cheating on your diet with Ryan Reynolds.”
Another Instagram user remarked: "Spotted, Serena van derwoodson glowing with child" 🔥.” IYKYK.
Other users appeared to mistake Don for Ryan altogether, with someone claiming: “wait a minute I thought that was Ryan in the photo 😂😂😂😂.” Someone else said: “I thought she was with Ryan Reynolds. Man, I can't keep up with pop culture at all anymore…”
But don’t worry everyone, Blake is still with Ryan, and actually tagged her husband in the photo, perfectly placed on her baby bump.
The couple met over 10 years ago on the set of Green Lantern, and went on to get married in 2012.
