Now is the perfect time to sit in front of the TV, and we recommend putting Netflix’s new fantasy thriller, Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child Of Fire, on the top of your list.

Starring Sofia Boutella and created by Zack Snyder, the film follows a young fighter, Kora, who journeys to nearby planets in search for warriors to fight against a tyrannical regime.

Part Two is dropping in 2024, but before then, is Kora able to win her battles and find her army? Get ready, because here is the ending of Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child Of Fire explained.

Kai betrays Kora and the rebels

After Kora has gathered her team, including Gunnar, Tarak, Kai, Nemesis, General Titus, Bloodaxe and Millius plus a small army of warriors, Kai flies them to Gondival where he says he wants to dump his stolen cargo in order to have a fresh start.

But, in a shocking twist, his boxes burst open with paralysers inside to which Kora and the rest of the rebels become trapped. We learn that Kai has sold them out for his own gain, to which Admiral Noble and his Imperium warriors arrive.

Then, Kai tells Gunnar to finish off the job of the paralysers and says he knows Gunnar is in love with Kora. But, Gunnar is instead able to free Kora, then kills Kai and an explosive battle ensues.

Kora and Noble battle

Bloodaxe sacrifices himself during the battle, and soon, their aircraft crashes, to which Kora and Noble are separated from their crews and begin to fight.

Kora has a few close brushes with death but is able to attack Noble with his cane, to which his teeth are knocked out and he falls off the platform to his death, or so we think!

Kora returns to Veldt

After the battle, Kora, Gunnar, Tarak, Nemesis, General Titus, and Millius return to Veldt where they are free from the Imperium’s grip, for now.

In the distance, they also see Jimmy in the field, who is now wearing some sort of makeshift crown which may mean he is now ready to take on a new role.

Noble is resurrected

Meanwhile, while we think Noble is dead, he is taken back aboard the Imperium Dreadnought, The King's Gaze, where he's hooked up to a machine that brings him back to life.

Here, his mind is transported to a frozen lake where he meets with Regent Balisarius, who scolds him for failing to stop the rebellion and orders him to find Kora. Part Two now, please!

Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child Of Fire is streaming on Netflix now.
